Paid Family and Medical Leave

CHPW provides two employer-paid options to support your income during approved medical or family leave:

  1. Disability Insurance – Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage provides income if you’re unable to work due to illness, injury, or pregnancy.
  2. State Paid Leave – Available to employees in WA, OR, CO, and NY. Employees in other states will receive supplemental pay for qualified family or medical leave not covered by short-term disability insurance.

State Paid Leave Benefits

Employees residing in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, or New York may be able to use Paid Family and Medical Leave benefits for:

  • Bonding after the birth or placement of a child
  • A serious health condition; either yours or a qualifying family member’s
  • Certain activities related to a family member’s military duty

To request a leave of absence, you will submit a request using the Leave of Absence and Accommodation platform, AbsenceTracker.
